You paid the real estate agent a fee
How does the 'no win, no fee' model work for reclaiming my deposit and agency fee?
You will never pay us anything for the pursuit of your claim. Only if we are successful in recovering your claim will we deduct a percentage from the claim value.
What percentage is your fee?
If we are successful in recovering your claim without legal procedures, we will pay you 70% of the claim amount. If we take formal legal action or prepare court documents for the successful recovery of your claim, we will pay you 60% of the claim amount.
What documents do I need to submit with my claim?
You will need to submit your rental agreement, and your agency fee agreement or other proof that you paid an agency fee for the relevant apartment. If there is any other correspondence you think might be relevant we would appreciate receiving that as well.
How soon after submitting my claim can I expect an update?
We will analyse your documentation and strive to get back to you within a week.
What is the typical duration from claim initiation to resolution?
We will dispatch your claim immediately following our analysis. Depending on the merits of the claim and the behaviour of the counterparty we may decide to litigate the matter immediately.
Can you settle for a lower amount than my claim?
We may settle for a lower amount than your full claim amount. However, if we do so without your approval this does not impact the amount we will pay you.
What if my rental agreement is short-term? Can I still reclaim my agency fee?
Yes you may still be able to claim back your agency fees for short-term agreements. The contract length does not impact your ability to reclaim agency fees.
My rental agreement states that it is a seasonal agreement. Does this matter?
The factual situation is more relevant than the language in your rental contract. Therefore, you can still claim your agency fee back if the rental agreement was not in practice specifically used or intended for seasonal rent. Please note that short term contract is not the same as seasonal. Examples of seasonal rent are one summer, or one school year.
